Ram Cam

I remember in the 90’s the very first web cam was in a UK computer lab over their coffee pot so the users knew if the coffee was ready.

Boulder city just added a web cam over Hemenway Park to watch the Sheep that tend to hang out there frequently.  The sheep are usually behind the tennis courts at the other end so I am not sure how often they will be close to this camera.

Baby Dove

Momma Bird made a nest and sat in it straight for 3 weeks.  One of the eggs was falling out so I got up on the ladder but the egg was cracked.  There must have been one more egg in there as we saw a tiny eye peeping out.  Baby bird spent a few days walking on the branch before flying away.  Lulu was helping to encourage the little fella to fly.

Aunt Linda

I finally got to see Aunt Linda in SF.  I had a few hours before my return flight and drove across the bay.  Luckily she was home and had a small block of time to get coffee.  Her little dog Bandito was a good trooper as we walked around town – except when skateboards are nearby – then he goes into attack mode.  Linda is a huge animal advocate and always looking out for their well being.

Sheep

A couple dozen sheep or more were hanging out at Hemenway Park.  Would you rather walk around in the cactus all day or eat the soft green grass at the park?  Technically, they are Desert Bighorn Sheep.  The herd moves around in the River Mountains – Bootleg canyon, Cascada golf course, Hemenway park, and the lake side neighborhoods.  They are pretty tame and get close to people.  Pull off the highway coming up from the dam and odds are good you will see them at the park this time of year.

Dixie

Dixie is a good neighbor dog who watches the house.  Dixie and Lulu keep their distance from each other.  She comes over every morning for snacks (and to secretly see the cat). Dixie is really good about staying in the yard and not leaving the perimeter to chase other dogs.
