Happy 5th Textaversary
5 years ago today Teal-Blue-Sky texted The-Dude-Abides from match.com to setup a meeting at the local Starbucks. That may be the only time I’ve ever been inside our local Starbucks. It was a nice day and after coffee was done we took a long walk down on the railroad tunnel trail down by Lake Mead. As it was very close to Valentines Day, Tomoko brought me a box of chocolate covered strawberries. These all melted into a pool sitting in the car and solidified into a giant single block in the fridge later that night.
We have been talking and texting every single day since and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
As a business model, Match.com lost two paying customers for this successful match.
Bootleg Canyon
We have been hiking out in bootleg canyon these last few weeks. Lots of mountain bike trails to explore. I have heard there were some petroglyphs back in there but never found them until i took an unmarked trail (East of Par None) on the mountain bike. Not sure if these are real as they are very white and almost perfect. The drawings themselves have the same proportions as other petroglyphs in the southwest. If they are forgeries, they are good ones.
