Mr Tofu

Mr Tofu is a very different Korean restaurant.  They are known for their Hot Pot  (soup) but have a lot of other interesting menu selections. They bring 16 banchan dished to your table which is the most I have ever seen.  I had to try the bibimbap as that is my go to dish.  Next time I would stick with the pork or try one of the hot pots.  Well worth a visit if you want to break away from the Korean BBQ scene.

BTW, the original Hwaro that burned down last year just reopened on Spring Mountain Rd.

Banchan!!! A ton of small side dishes to mix in with your main course.
Hot Pot with tofu and dumpling
Seafood bibimbap

Fugetsu

We were really excited to try Fugetsu.  They have Okonomiyaki on the menu.  This is not seen often in the US.  We had some wonderful Hiroshima style okonomiyaki in Nara last year.   They have an ‘All you can eat’ option but that is the last thing I need.  They have a ton of things on the menu but we kept it simple for a change. The atmosphere is nice but the music was horrible.  They had a loud Kpop/rap thing going which made us leave as soon as possible.

The Okonomiyaki + noodles = Modanyaki looked really good but was burned on the bottom and soggy in the middle. I think this location just opened and they are probably still have some kinks to work out.  Hope to see progress someday in the next visit.

Dragon Roll: Shrimp, Crab, Unagi, and Avocado.
Seafood Modanyaki: Noodle base with seafood on top.
Pork Modanyaki: Pork belly on top

Update

Sorry for not posting for a few months – had some technical difficulties.  I could ping the server and ssh into the little guy, but could not get any html to generate.   It uses a little SD card as a hard drive so I guessed that was corrupted and reimaged to the latest backup.  That didnt work so I thought there was something wrong with the NIC on the raspberry pi itself so replaced that unit with a new one.  That didn’t work so I rebuilt from scratch using backup files.  Thanks to stackexchange.com for the search forums.
